Synopsis: A bug demon (Cohila), who is capable of taking human form, looks for a female host to be the Queen of his bug kingdom, which will take over New York City. Janine is meanwhile trying to get Egon to notice her, and to make him jealous, she accepts a date with Cohila, only to be almost transformed into the bug queen before the Extreme Ghostbusters step in to rescue her.

• Title Reference: "The Crawler" is presumably referring to something that crawls, such as a bug.
• When the EGBs first encounter Cohlia, he picks up a Volkswagon Beetle and throws it at Eduardo. The Beetle was also known as "The Bug."
• Cohlia uses the name Gregor Sampsa when he's in human form. Gregor Sampsa is the name of the guy who turns into an insect in Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis."
