Filming locations adjacent to this one will be included on this page. That includes: First Avenue and East 77th Street - as the baby carriage chase naturally takes us from the apartment building to the intersection.

Fun Facts
  • The entire baby carriage chase is geographically correct. It starts at Dana's apartment building at 325 E. 77th Street and heads south to the intersection of East 77th Street and First Avenue.
  • While the real First Avenue in Manhattan was used in the movie, the actual digging was actually shot on a similar street in Los Angeles. The differences are most evident by comparing the background behind Dana at the beginning of the movie to the background behind the guys digging.
  • In the background of the shot of the baby carriage narrowly avoiding getting hit by the bus, you can see the green awning of Cho-Sen Food Shoppe Ltd. That green awning, and the hanging dividers that loosely separate the traffic and dust from the produce outside, are a facade, covering up an otherwise boring storefront. That awning was recycled in L.A. behind the road dig. This explains why the awning in the L.A. scene looked so loose compared to a real awning - it was moved to L.A. after the New York shoot and reused to redress a different street. Apparently the Cho-Sen Food Shoppe Ltd. store is meant to help solidify both intersections as being the same, even though everything else at both locations is entirely different. • The Three Star Diner, which Ecto-1A passes in one of the montage shots, is one block up from the intersection, at the corner of First Avenue and E. 76th Street. Louis' bus stop is one more block up from there.
