Title Reference: "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" is a song written by Frank Churchill and Ann Ronell, which was originally featured in the 1933 Disney cartoon "Three Little Pigs".
The voice actors were recorded on September 12 and December 17, 1986. Maurice LaMarche, who covered for Arsenio Hall and voiced Winston, recorded on December 17, 1986.
Jon thinks that the Ghostbusters' name is "Ghostsmashers", which was the original name for the group in Dan Aykroyd's first draft of the movie script.
The Ghostbusters' business card references the episode Troll Bridge.
