- Title Reference: "Trading Places" is a 1983 film directed by John Landis, and starring Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy. It tells the story of an upper class commodities broker and a homeless street hustler whose lives cross paths when they are unknowingly made part of an elaborate bet.
- The voice actors were recorded on May 31, 1989. Frank Welker recorded alone for this episode on the same day.
- This is a 15 minute episode.
- Ray and Winston do not appear in this story, making it the first time that all four Ghostbusters are not present in a story.
